To make advanced recovery and wellness treatments affordable and accessible to everyone. We grew up on rebellion, community, and the belief that things could be better. We meant it then. We mean it now.
Why We Set Up Lincoln Wellness Hub Community Interest Company.
We have been running Lincoln Performance & Recovery Clinic for several years, working with a wide and diverse range of people — from athletes and active people to those dealing with serious health challenges.
Over time, more people living with cancer began seeking us out for hyperbaric oxygen therapy. One lady in particular, Fiona, inspired us to start offering sessions for free. Before long, word spread, and we found ourselves helping more and more people.
At first, we funded these sessions ourselves because we believed in what we were doing. But as demand grew, it became clear that something had to change if we were going to keep helping people properly and reach more of those who needed support.
That is why we set up Lincoln Wellness Hub CIC — a community interest company created to apply for funding, work on a non-profit basis, and provide free or discounted access to treatments that are often out of reach for many people.
Our aim is to continue supporting people living with cancer, and to expand free and discounted sessions to those with brain injuries, fibromyalgia, PTSD, Parkinson’s, and other conditions where recovery, resilience and quality of life matter deeply.
We started because one person inspired us. Now we want to build something that can help many.
OUR TEAM
We are not quite what people expect — so we are told.
Our team is made up of Matt, Joe, Paula, Beckie, Dom and Ash: a small, passionate group with a mix of experience, grit, humour and a genuine drive to help people. We are not corporate, polished robots in matching smiles. We are real people, doing meaningful work, trying to make advanced treatments more accessible to the community.
We care deeply, we work hard, and we believe people should feel welcomed, listened to and supported from the moment they walk through the door.
